BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Here's a look at the week ahead (Nov. 18 - Nov. 24) for the Bridgewater State University athletics teams:
TUESDAY
MEN'S BASKETBALL, Wheaton College at home, 7:00 PM: The Bears, off to a 3-1 start, host the Lyons at the Tinsley Center.
BSU dropped a 73-51 decision to Wheaton in Norton last season, ending a three-game winning streak in the series that began in the 1994-95 season. The Bears shot 34 percent and turned the ball over 23 times.
The Lions are 1-3 and are playing their third straight road game.
FRIDAY
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL, Eastern Connecticut State at home, 5:30 PM: The Bears (2-1) host the opening round of the BSU Cave Classic, facing the Warriors (0-3) in their first meeting since 2015.
BSU went 2-0 in the last Cave Classic, defeating Wellesley and Emerson early in the 2022-23 season.
Emerson and the University of New England will meet in the other game at 7:30 PM.
SATURDAY
MEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING, at Clark University, 1:00 PM: The Bears travel to Worcester for their final dual meet until Jan. 15 when they go against Eastern Connecticut State.
BSU (0-2) has been idle since a loss at Wheaton College on Nov. 1. The Bears defeated Clark a year ago, 165.5-85.5.
WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING, at Clark University, 1:00 PM: The Bears (1-2) defeated Clark at home a year ago, 153-145, for their first win of the season.
Following the BSU Invitational on Dec. 7, the Bears will be idle until the middle of January.
WRESTLING, at the Doug Parker Invitational, 10:00 AM: The Bears travel to Springfield College to close out the November portion of the schedule.
A year ago, Malcolm Chrispin (Hyde Park, Mass.) went 3-2 to lead the Bears.
MEN'S BASKETBALL, at Wentworth Institute of Technology, 1:00 PM: After three straight home games, the Bears travel to the Tansey Gym in Boston for a non-conference game.
BSU and Wentworth (1-1) have not met since the Bears won in the ECAC tournament in 2012, 67-64, in overtime. This is BSU's first trip to Wentworth since 2001.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL, BSU Cave Classic, at the Tinsley Center: The consolation round will be played at noon with the championship game at 2:00 PM.
The Bears will play either Emerson or the University of New England.
