TUESDAY
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL, at Rhode Island College, 5:30 PM: The Bears play their first road game of the season after a home win over UMass Dartmouth and a home loss to Amherst.
BSU defeated RIC, 83-75, last season, defeating a team that had reached the Sweet 16 the previous year and had compiled a 57-5 record in the last three seasons.
The Anchorwomen are off to a 4-1 start with three straight wins. Their lone loss was to Brandeis University.
RIC holds a 19-15 edge in the all-time series.
BSU will be idle until next Tuesday following this game.
MEN'S BASKETBALL, at Rhode Island College, 7:30 PM: The Bears (1-4) look to build on the season's first win, which came Saturday in the BSU Cave Classic over the Wentworth Institute of Technology.
RIC defeated BSU last season, 93-91, despite 22 points, eight assists, seven steals and four rebounds from Dante Kikuba.
The Bears were down 13 with less than seven minutes to go, took a lead with 1:31 left but lost by a field goal.
The Anchormen are 21-18 in the series since 1985, winning four of the last five games.
RIC is 2-3 this season with three straight losses to MIT, Brandeis and Salve Regina.
This is the sixth of 11 non-conference games for the Bears, who are off until a week from Wednesday after playing RIC.
