BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Will Horton has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Tennis Player and Rookie of the Week.

A native of Lakeville, Massachusetts, Horton posted a 6-0, 2-6, 6-1 victory at #1 singles over Andre Juscamaita of Wentworth in the Bears’ 7-0 win last week over the Engineers. He also teamed with senior Ryan Hebert (Taunton, Mass.) for a 6-4 decision at second doubles.

In two matches this season, Horton is 1-1 in singles competition exclusively at the top flight as well as 1-0 in doubles play.

The BSU men's tennis team is currently 1-1 on the young season. The Bears entertain Wheaton College on Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock.
