BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior Aydan Fournier has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
A native of Assonet, Massachusetts, Fournier finished 15th in the 800-meter run with a career outdoor best time of 1:56.27 this past weekend at the Emory Thrills in the Hills in Atlanta, Georgia.
Fournier currently ranks 66th in all of Division III in the 800 and eighth in the East Region.
The MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week honor marks the first of Fournier's career.
The outdoor season continues for the BSU men's track & field team on Saturday as the Bears will compete at the Amherst Spring Fling.
