BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University senior Kyle Ackroyd has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Ackroyd placed 35th out of a field of 253 runners this past weekend at the 52nd UMass Dartmouth Invitational. The Charlestown, Rhode Island native completed the eight-kilometer course in a career-best time of 25:29.82.

The MASCAC Runner of the Week honor marks the second of Ackroyd's career. He was selected as the MASCAC Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week twice during his freshman campaign of 2022.

The BSU men's cross country team will be back in action on Saturday, October 4th when they travel to Keene, New Hampshire for the Keene State Invitational.
