BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's lacrosse team has been picked to finish in fourth place in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) standings as the 2026 MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll was released today by conference director of media relations, Emily Loux.
The Bears received 33 points in the poll. Worcester State University is the preseason favorite to capture the MASCAC regular season title as the defending champion Lancers picked up 48 points and six of the eight first-place votes. Framingham State University is second in the poll with 40 points and a pair of first-place votes.
Under the guidance of head coach Erica Adams (11th Year), the BSU women's lacrosse team finished the 2025 season tied for third in the MASCAC standings with a 4-2 conference mark (14-5 overall). Adams has guided the Bears to a 96-67 (.589) record over her first ten seasons at the helm with a 41-17 (.707) mark in MASCAC regular season play as she is the all-time winningest coach in program history.
Returning All-MASCAC selection, senior midfielder Meredith Sylvia (South Dartmouth, Mass.), and 2025 MASCAC Rookie of the Year, sophomore goalkeeper Sara Skaff (Lowell, Mass.) will help lead the Bears in 2025.
The BSU women's lacrosse team opens the 2026 campaign on Wednesday, February 18th as the Bears host Wheaton College at three o'clock. The MASCAC schedule gets underway on Wednesday, March 25th when the Bears travel to Massachusetts Maritime Academy to take on the Bucanneers at 7:00 PM.
