NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Bridgewater State University junior Naomi Cass (Westport, Mass.) captured the meet title in the 10,000-meter run on Friday night at the Silfen Invitational Elite Distance hosted by Connecticut College.
Cass posted a winning time of 36:11.08 in the 10,000 as she was competing in the event for the first time in her collegiate career.
Cass, who, qualified for the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships back in the fall, currently ranks 16th in all of Division III in the 10,000.
The BSU women's track & field team will return to action on Saturday, April 19th as the Bears will compete at the Tufts Sunshine Classic.
