CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's indoor track & field team competed on Saturday at the Gordon Kelly Invitational hosted by MIT at the Johnson Athletic Center.

Graduate student Serenity Sands (East Bridgewater, Mass.) captured top honors in the high jump with a leap of five feet, 2.25 inches (1.58m) while sophomore Chloe Davies (Foxborough, Mass.) finished tied for tenth in the event with a mark of four feet, 10.25 inches (1.48m) and sophomore Bella Grover (Warren, Mass.) was tied for 16th (4'8.25'/1.43m)

Senior Naomi Cass (Westport, Mass.) was the eighth runner to cross the finish line in the mile run as she posted a career-best time of 5:16.69.

Freshman Savana Malo (Milford, Mass.) checked in at 12th in the long jump with a distance of 15 feet, 7.5 inches (4.76m). Malo also finished 19th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.00 seconds.

Sophomore Olivia Downin (Hudson, Mass.) finished 13th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:33.23 while freshman Olivia Pendleton (Yarmouth Port, Mass.) was 16th in 2:37.48.

The Bears are back in action next Friday when they head to the Reggie Lewis Center for The Reggie Open.
