NORTON, Mass. -- Chloe Davies (Foxborough, Mass.) and Olivia Pendleton (Yarmouth Port, Mass.) were the top finishers for the Bridgewater State University women's indoor track & field team at the Wheaton College Invitational.
Davies, a sophomore, was third in the high jump while Pendleton, a freshman, was also third in the mile.
Sophomore Bella Grover (Warren, Mass.) placed in a pair of events for the Bears, one of eight Division III teams at the meet.
Davies had a career-best leap of 5 feet, one-quarter inch (1.53m) in the high jump while Pendleton ran the mile in a PR of 5:33.97.
Grover placed fourth in the high jump (4'10.25"/1.48m) and was sixth in the 400-meter invite with a career-best time of 1:04.61.
Also competing for the Bears were sophomore Olivia Downin (Hudson, Mass.), who was seventh in the 1,000-meter run in a PR of 3:18.82, and freshman Olivia O'Toole (Plymouth, Mass.), who was eighth in the the finals of the 60-meter hurdles with a PR of 9.96 seconds.
The Bears finished eighth in the team standings at tge meet with 22.5 points.
BSU will return to Wheaton on Sunday, Feb. 15 to take part in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
