EASTON, Mass. -- For the second straight year, Bridgewater State University senior Naomi Cass (Westport, Mass.) has earned All-New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association honors in women's outdoor track & field.
Cass placed fifth in the 10,000-meter race at the NEICAAA Championships held at W.B. Mason Stadium on the campus of Stonehill College Friday.
The two-day meet is comprised of competitors from all three divisions in New England.
Cass crossed the finish line in 38:49.81, the second-fastest runner from a Massachusetts school. The top eight finishers in each event receive All-NEICAAA recognition.
Last spring, Cass was third in the meet held at the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a time of 36:03.52.
The 10,000 race was won by Rhode Island College senior Haley Oliver in a time of 36:33.17 with Peyton Dauphinais of Southern Connecticut State second in 36:51.27.
Wellesley College senior Emily Brydges was third in 37:32.09.
Cass was the early leader in the race and scored four points for the Bears.
Cass was also an All-NEICAAA runner during the 2025 indoor season, finishing fourth in the 5,000 with a time of 17:48.91.
The NEICAAA Championships conclude today with one BSU athlete participating.
Sophomore Grace Inacio (Taunton, Mass.) has qualified in two events and will race in the afternoon.
Inacio will be in the 100-meter preliminary race at 11:35 a.m. She will also run in the 200 at 1:05 p.m.
