CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Grace Inacio (Taunton, Mass.) turned in another strong performance for the Bridgewater State University women's outdoor track & field team Thursday night.

The sophomore sprinter finished second in the finals of the 100-meter dash at the MIT Final Qualifier held at Steinbrenner Stadium/Morrison Track.

Inacio had a time of 11.99 seconds to finish behind only sophomore Nyahingiva Musa of Division I Sacred Heart University of Fairfield, Conn. Musa's winning time was 11.81 seconds.

To reach the final eight in the 100, Inacio qualified with a time of 12.03 seconds in the preliminary, which included 20 runners.

Inacio was the lone BSU women to compete in the meet.

She will now await the final list of runners who will qualify for the NCAA Division III Championships. Those names will be revealed this weekend for the meet to be held May 21-23 in La Crosse, Wis.

Inacio's best time this season is 11.89 seconds, which is tied for 21st on the national list. She ran that time at the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships last month.

In the 200, Inacio ranks 37th in the nation with a time of 24.62, which she ran at the Emory Thrills in the Hills in Georgia.

Inacio took part in the NCAA indoor meet in March, finishing 14th in the 200 to earn All-America second-team honors in Birmingham, Ala.

Last spring, Inacio was part of the first Bears' women's relay team to reach the NCAAs. She helped BSU finish sixth in the 4x100 in a time of 46.33 seconds for All-America honors.
