BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University sophomore Grace Inacio has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Inacio placed fifth in the 200-meter dash and finished fifth in the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash this past weekend at the Emory Thrills in the Hills in Atlanta, Georgia. She posted a career-best time of 24.62 seconds in the 200 as she was just 2/100 of a second off Kiara Abrantes' wind-aided school record time of 24.60 set in 2025. The Taunton, Massachusetts product also recorded a career-best time of 12.11 seconds in the preliminaries of the 100.
Inacio currently ranks fourth in all of Division III in the 200 (first in the East Region) and 13th in the 100 (second in the East Region).
The MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week honor marks the third of Inacio's career and first outdoor distinction. She was selected MASCAC Rookie of the Week 12 times (seven indoor, five outdoor) during her freshman campaign of 2024-2025.
The outdoor season continues for the BSU women's track & field team on Saturday as the Bears will compete at the Amherst Spring Fling.
