BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Two members of the Bridgewater State University women's outdoor track & field team earned All-Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference honors.

Sophomore Grace Inacio (Taunton, Mass.) made the all-conference team in a pair of events while sophomore Jane Sitek Shaver (Burlington, Vt.) earned the honor in one event.

The Bears placed third at the MASCAC Championships held last Saturday at Fitchburg State University with 128 points, finishing behind champion Westfield State (203) and Worcester State (153).

Winners of individual events and relay races are named to the All-MASCAC team.

Inacio was first in the 100-meter dash with a school-record time of 11.89 seconds, breaking the record of 11.99 seconds set last season by Alison McDonough.

Inacio was also first in the 200 with a time of 25.10 seconds.

She was selected the MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row and the third time this season.

Inacio is 18th nationally in Division III in the 100 and fourth in the East Region.

Sitek Shaver won the discus with a personal-best throw of 109 feet, 10 inches, for the first honor of her career.

BSU will take part in the NCAA Division III New England Championships, hosted by Springfield College, on Friday and Saturday.
