Men's Swimming Falls to Elms College, 134-97
CHICOPEE, Mass. – Elms College sophomore Zach LeBarron (Bennington, V.T.) totaled four first-place finishes and broke a pair of individual school records to help pace the Blazers to a 134-97 victory over visiting Bridgewater State College on Friday evening.
CHICOPEE, Mass. - Elms College sophomore Zach LeBarron (Bennington, VT) totaled four first-place finishes and broke a pair of individual school records to help pace the Blazers to a 134-97 victory over visiting Bridgewater State College on Friday evening.
With the win, Elms College improves to 3-0 on the season, while Bridgewater State moves to 1-4 overall.
LeBarron clocked a soaring time of 2:09.72 in the 200-meter freestyle to set a new school record. LeBarron also swam the opening leg of the 200-meter freestyle relay and recorded a time of 25.33 to set a new school mark.
LeBarron added individual victories in the 50-meter freestyle (25.82), the 100-meter freestyle (58.05) and was the third leg of the school-record setting 200-meter medley relay team that turned in a speedy time of 2:01.20.
For Bridgewater State, Sam Herman (Londonderry, NH) finished first in the 50-meter backstroke (31.73) and the 100-meter backstroke (1:08.05).
