Colin Lamusta Named Little East Men’s Tennis Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Colin Lamusta has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week.

Lamusta began his rookie campaign in fine fashion as he recorded his first collegiate singles and doubles victories in the Bears' season-opening 7-2 Little East win over the University of Southern Maine on Sunday.

The Lynnfield, Massachusetts product teamed with sophomore Jeff Pavao (Somerset, Mass.) for an 8-1 triumph at second flight doubles, and posted a 6-1, 6-1 straight set victory at number three singles.

The BSU men's tennis team is currently 1-0 on the young season. In upcoming action, the Bears entertain Wentworth in a non-conference match on Tuesday afternoon at three.
