McBirney Places Fourth in 800 at MIT Sean Collier Invitational
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Senior Kevin McBirney (East Bridgewater, Mass.) placed fourth in the 800-meter run on Saturday at the MIT Sean Collier Invitational.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Senior Kevin McBirney (East Bridgewater, Mass.) placed fourth in the 800-meter run on Saturday at the MIT Sean Collier Invitational.
McBirney posted a personal-best time of 1:52.48 in the 800 as he currently ranks 40th in all of Division III in the event and 11th in the East Region.
Michael Olsen, who competed unattached, won the 800 race with a time of 1:49.59, followed by sophomore Aaron Craveney (Durham, N.C.) of Division I Brown University in second place (1:51.93) and sophomore David Whitaker (Northville, Mich.) of host MIT in third (1:52.41).
McBirney was the lone member of the BSU track & field teams to compete on Saturday at MIT.
