BSC Wrestling Splits a Pair of Pilgrim League Matches
BRISTOL, R.I. -- The Bridgewater State College wrestling team split a pair of matches at a Pilgrim Wrestling League (PWL) tri-match held at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island.
BRISTOL, R.I. -- The Bridgewater State College wrestling team split a pair of matches at a Pilgrim Wrestling League (PWL) tri-match held at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island.
BSC dropped a 21-15 decision to host Roger Williams and rebounded with a 24-6 victory over MIT. The Bears are now 10-5 in dual meet action this season including a 3-2 mark in the PWL.
Senior 133-pounder Eric Coughlan (Sandwich, MA) paced the Bears as he pinned both of his opponents on the evening. Coughlan pinned Mike Trayser of Roger Williams at the 2:16 mark of the first period, and he took just 28 seconds to defeat Greg Wellman of MIT.
Freshman 149-pounder Ethan Raymond (Middlebury, VT) also went 2-0 at the tri-match including an 8-0 major decision victory over Nick Allegretta of RWU.
The Bears will host the Paul Dubois Memorial Tournament on Saturday beginning at 10 AM.
