Logan Levesque Named MASCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University senior goalkeeper Logan Levesque has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Levesque backstopped the Bears to a pair of shutouts against Connecticut College and Salem State University last week. The Bristol, Rhode Island native made 15 saves and recorded a perfect 1.000 save percentage and a perfect 0.00 goals against average on the week.

Levesque made seven saves in a 0-0 scoreless tie with Conn. College and turned aside eight shots in a 2-0 conference win over Salem State.

In 12 games this season, Levesque is 4-5-3 with five shutouts and a 1.50 goals against average in 1,080 minutes of work. She has turned aside 80 shots and currently sports an .816 save percentage.

Levesque is currently tied for second among the MASCAC goaltending leaders in minutes played, games played, games started, saves and shutouts. She is also fourth in wins.

In 62 games (all starts) over four seasons with the Bears, Levesque is 34-20-8 with 23 career shutouts (22 solo), 357 saves and an .813 save percentage. She has also posted a 1.34 career goals against average to date in 5,503-plus (5503:40) minutes of action.

Levesque is presently second among the Bears' all-time goaltending leaders in wins as well as third in shutouts, saves, games played and minutes played. She also ranks fifth in goals against average.

The MASCAC weekly honor marks the seventh of Levesque's career. She also earned the accolade twice during the 2023 campaign and three times in 2024.

The BSU women's soccer team is currently 4-6-3 on the season and 4-1-1 in the MASCAC standings. The Bears host nationally ranked Tufts University on Wednesday night at seven o'clock.
