Women's Swimming & Diving Falls to Wheaton, 152-80

NORTON, Mass. -- The visiting Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving team dropped a 152-80 decision to Wheaton College on Wednesday evening at the Balfour Natatorium.

The host Lyons remain unbeaten on the season as they improve to 4-0 in dual meet competition, while the Bears slip to 2-3.

Sophomore Mackenzie Coogan (Assonet, Mass.) placed first in the 1,000 freestyle (11:42.54), while junior Haley Nolan (Lowell, Mass.) captured top honors in the 500 freestyle (5:29.57) to pace Bridgewater State.

The Bears also received second place finishes from senior Abbie Grant (Mansfield, Mass.) in the 50 freestyle (26.86) and freshman Allison Hunt (Norton, Mass.) in the 200 freestyle (2:07.45).

The Bears travel to Clark University on Saturday afternoon for a one o'clock meet with the Cougars.
