Cailey Simard Heading to NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior Cailey Simard (Haverhill, Mass.) has earned a spot at the 2025 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships.
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior Cailey Simard (Haverhill, Mass.) has earned a spot at the 2025 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships.
Simard is the first student-athlete in BSU women's swimming & diving program history to qualify and compete at the national championship meet which will be held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina from March 19 to March 22.
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference and the Greensboro Aquatic Center will serve as hosts. A total of 579 participants (526 swimmers and 53 divers) will compete in the championships.

A native of Havehill, Massachusetts, Simard posted an 11-dive score of 415.35 points to place sixth on the one-meter board this past weekend at the NCAA Division III.Northeast/North Women's Diving Championships held at the Art Linkletter Natatorium on the campus of Springfield College. She also posted an 11-dive score of 398.70 points on the three-board to finish 19th in the event at the regional championships.
Eight divers from the Northeast/North Regional earned a spot at the national championship. Joining Simard from the region are senior Issara Schmidt and Maya Williams from NYU, sophomore Fiora Beratahani and senior Rachel Lot of MIT, Amherst College senior Sydney Bluestein, junior Sadie Smith (464.50 pts.) of Bowdoin College and Williams College senior Adelaide Herman.
Simard holds four school diving records as she is the Bears' record holder on the one-meter and three-meter diving boards for both six and 11-dive events.
