Cailey Simard Named Little East Women's Diver of the Week
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior Cailey Simard has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Women's Diver of the Week.
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior Cailey Simard has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Women's Diver of the Week.
A native of Haverhill, Massachusetts, Simard swept the diving events this past weekend in the Bears' home opener against Wheaton College. She posted a six-dive score of 314.80 points on the one-meter board and broke her own school record with a score of 356.80 points on the three-meter plank.
Simard eclipsed her previous three-meter mark of 316.35 points set in 2024.
The LEC Diver of the Week honor marks the 25th of Simard's career. The three-time Little East Diver of the Year also garnered the accolade seven times last season, nine times in 2023-2024 and eight times as a rookie in 2022-2023.
The BSU women's swimming and diving team is back in action on Sunday, November 9th when the Bears head to Saint Michael's College for a tri-meet with the host Purple Knights as well as the Mariners of Maine Maritime Academy.
