Savana Malo Named MASCAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the third time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman Savana Malo has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week.

Malo finished 24th in the long jump with a leap of 15 feet, 3.5 inches (4.66m) this past weekend at the Division III New England Championships hosted by Springfield College.

The MASCAC Rookie of the Week honor marks the fifth of Malo's freshman campaign. She was also named conference rookie of the week twice during the indoor season.
