Savannah Quintal Named MASCAC Volleyball Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman setter Savannah Quintal has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball Rookie of the Week.

Quintal averaged 15 assists, 1.5 aces and 5.5 digs in a 1-1 week for the Bears. The Assonet, Massachusetts native notched 12 assists, one ace and eight digs in her collegiate debut, a 3-0 season-opening win over Mount Holyoke College. She also tallied one kill, 18 assists, two aces and three digs in a 3-1 setback to Becker College.

Quintal and the BSU volleyball team will return to the court on Wednesday evening when the Bears entertain Lasell College at six.
