Ava Crane Named MASCAC Volleyball Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University sophomore outside hitter Ava Crane has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball Rookie of the Week.

Crane notched 51 digs (3.19 per set), 15 aces, four assists and 21 kills in a 1-3 week for the Bears. The Dartmouth, Massachusetts product amassed 43 digs, six aces, four assists and 15 kills in three matches this past weekend at the UMass Boston Invitational. She also tallied eight digs, nine aces and six kills in a 3-0 season-opening win over Anna Maria.

The BSU volleyball team is currently 1-3 on the season. The Bears travel to Rhode Island College on Tuesday night for a six o'clock match with the Anchorwomen.
